LEGAL SERVICES FOR BUSINESS AND INDIVIDUALS

At various stages of your business and personal life you will require legal advice on both business and personal matters. Often, in small businesses, both business and personal matters are intertwined.

Proper estate planning will assist in resolving issues that may be of concern to individuals and assist in equitably settling business and personal estates.

We are aware, also, of the cost, both in resources and emotions, in litigation. We not only represent clients on active litigation matters, we also consult in order to avoid legal confrontations resulting in expensive law suits.

"THE PERSONAL LAW OFFICE"

We provide personal, sensitive and ethical legal services to our clients. The first consultation is free. Many clients just wish to explore legal issues without committing themselves financially.
The purpose of the first consultation is to review client matters and advise as to options that the client may have.

We also understand that legal matters may cause stress and worry. We aim to reduce your concerns by speaking and writing in plain English, cutting through legal jargon and keeping you well informed at all times.

We strive to provide clients with a full range of quality services at a fair value. Clients can depend upon us to be responsive to their needs and to exercise independent professional judgment on their behalf.

AREAS OF PRACTICE

Estate Planning
Though avoiding probate is our goal, it may not be achievable in all situations. An estate plan may include recommendations of joint ownership, different types of trusts or other entities which provide the family with both tax savings and asset protection. Older citizens should plan ahead to conserve their estates for their families. We prepare Living Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxy's, Wills and Trusts

Criminal Law

Our focus is upon District Court matters, jury and non-jury. As a former State Police Officer William M. Cloran, Esq. is familiar with the law, practices and procedures of law enforcement officers and the courts.

Probate, Trusts and Estates

Probate is the legal procedure of distributing assets to the beneficiaries of an estate, after payment of lawful expenses, under the supervision of the Probate Court. Trusts are important tools, one of which may assist in avoiding probate. In order to have some control over the distribution of your estate you should consult with an attorney.

Real Estate

Attention is given to the Offer, Purchase and Sale Agreement and Closing. Please call your attorney before signing the Offer to Purchase as it contains most all of the legal commitments associated with the sale. Our experience includes representing banks, buyers and sellers.

Business Planning and Monitoring

We consult as to the most advantageous form of business for the client. Options include Sole Ownership, Partnership, Corporation, Joint Venture, Limited Liability Company and Trusts. We follow up by consulting with the business entity as to management and legal issues. We are proud to grow with our clients.
